Reflexology

What Will My First Reflexology Treatment Be Like?

Once you have been welcomed into my peaceful treatment room for your first session, we will work through a full consultation including your medical history and current health.  This will help me to tailor your treatment specifically to you and your needs.

I will ask you to remove your shoes, socks and roll up your trousers (your treatment will include deeply relaxing lower leg massage so it is best to wear loose fitting trousers which can comfortably be rolled up).  I have plenty of pillows and blankets to help to make you nice and cosy on the treatment couch and will even offer you a lavender scented eye pillow to aid your relaxation.

Once you are completely comfy, I will cleanse your feet with warm cloths before gently hold your feet and ask you to take three nice deep breaths, in and out, to help calm and ground you to begin your treatment.  Then all you will need to do is sit back and enjoy your relaxing, nurturing treatments.

Feel free to ask any questions as we go along.  Sometime clients experience sensation in their feet or body during reflexology. Don’t worry, this is quite normal and shouldn’t be unpleasant. This is an indication of the reflexology working.

At the end of your treatment, you will have time to relax and I will offer you a glass of water.   We will have plenty of time to discuss your treatment, answer any questions and talk about aftercare you can continue at home.  There may be small changes you can make to aid a continued sense of wellbeing after the treatment.

For mobile treatments I will bring everything needed with me including a comfortable anti-gravity chair, blankets, pillows, eye mask and calming music.

Don’t worry, reflexology does not tickle!  I have treated may clients with ticklish feet and they have not found it a problem (I’ve not been kicked in the face yet!)
